Problem in referencing jQuery Scripts Path from Local Folder in ASP.Net

I am trying to reference external Jquery code i got from the Jquery website.

Using the links below in my html, it works

<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.9.1.js"></script>
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/ui/1.10.3/jquery-ui.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/resources/demos/style.CSS" />


I downloaded the code from the above links, saved it and created a folder(Code) in web projected, added the code files and and i changed the links to point the new files as below

<script type ="text/javascript" src="~/Code/jquery-1.9.1.js"></script>
<script type ="text/javascript" src="~/Code/jquery-ui.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="~/Code/Styles.CSS" />


But the it is not working now. The 3 tabs dont display.




Does it means that the code can only work when referenced from the net? or i have problems with my html?
