Changing css class dynamically from code behind in asp.net

Hi Sir,

I have one requirement in my application,I want to change css class of button from code behind based on condition.as of now when i am checking as ex:(btn.cssclass=="active")  then it returns empty.I am using skin and theme.

Please give me some solutions.
