Update Panel is not working in Edit Button in Gridview inside UserControl in ASP.Net

its not a requiredfieldvalidator issue. My gridview is in Usercontrol and inside gridiview, full page refreshes while clicking on the edit, update or save button.

Gridview is under update panel only but full page refreshes and partial postback not happens.

I have tried this method already and you could see it in my question marked as Method 1. But it didnt work out.

I have found the solution and posted down separately, please have a look on that...

Finally I have identified the issue - Conflicts between ASP.NET AJAX UpdatePanels & jQuery functions. Thanks for this post.

ModalPopupExtender blocks the UpdatePanel function. So I removed the popup script from aspx page and added it in the codebehind in Page_Load as below
