for playing videos in a web page, u have lot of players available...

1. flash media player

2. media player

3. jw player  etc.,

and also you have different techniques to play videos on your web page,

i.e.,

1. Either by integrating(adding/embedding) the player object tag code into your html page,

2. Or in .Net, we have silver light, with silver light we can play our videos..

I am Using Flash Media Player, you can integrate the flash player object tag in your (.aspx) page,

here's the website for flash player I have used,

http://www.flv-player.net, there you have 5 types of players, with options...

go for generator on the right side, and copy the code under neath the player...
