Hi,

I am developing one Main rdlc Report Say "C" with Subreports A and B.Each report getting Data with different Datasources(DataSets).When Data is not coming for SubReports A and B, report is generated but I am getting the error message as Data retrieval failed for the subreport, 'Subreport1', located at:Location\SubTrade.rdlc. Please check the log files for more information. Please help me in this regard. Thanks in advance. Below is my piece of code.

That's because you are still not passing the DataSource to the reports. You need to pass the DataSource always and handle the condition in database query

Example, suppose you don't need to display records your SP or query must return 0 rows

No you are not. You have used Case Stmts. Which means of the two conditions are not satisifed nothing is set as datasource for sub report

Yahoo!!! It worked. You are true Mr. Mudassar. Thank you so much for your kind help. I was not binding DataSource to the Subreports in the case if DataTable has zero rows. Now I have modified my code,pls find my modifed code below..
