How to add New line character or line break in sql statement

hello 

I want to add new line charachter in the sql statement 

Sql 

  DECLARE @text NVARCHAR(100)

SET @text = 'This is line 1.'  + (line break charachter) +  'This is line 2.'

SELECT @text

I want output like this 

This is line 1.

This is line 2.

can you please tell me how to use break the line in sql
