Set start value for Identity column with autoincrement in SQL Server

You can have your rollno column in SQL as Auto Increment and don’t insert the rollno column if you want to increment it automatically.

Sir i m uploading the excelsheet here...and there is no column  of "rollno" in the excelsheet.I want to generate the 10 digit rollno(2014080001) automatically as per the data present in the excelsheet.And it is auto incremented.Plz help me..

Simple thing will be to have the rollid as Auto Increment which starts from 1000000001 based on Id(Primary Key).

RollId AS id + 1000000000,
[Date] DATETIME

INSERT INTO tblUser VALUES('A',GETDATE())

INSERT INTO tblUser VALUES('D',GETDATE())

SELECT * FROM tblUser

Just dont pass the Id and RollId it will be auto increment.
