Adding a label to export to excel caption

What you can do is Put GridView inside a Panel control and put the Labels that you need to display inside panel and export the Panel instead of GridView to Excel

I have too many pages I would have to change.  Is there another way?

You can use multiple panels and export them separately

I have over 20 pages I would have to change and I'm being lazy ;-)

I tried this but it's not working  It's saying label1 is not declared.

"Area"

)

Label2.Text = Request.QueryString(

I don't know what you are trying to do plus your code is not readable. You need to export Panel. Panel will have GridView and Label
