Download image instead of displaying in browser when HyperLink to the image is clicked

whena i pass this string abc it wont dowload the file it will directly display the image,

but when i paas the id dirctly it download the image("http://sachinm.opendrive.com/files/OF82MTkwMjc2OV80Z05YYV8yMWM0/E-16.jpg")

why is it so?

That's a default browser behaviour and nothing an be done for it.

And hence if you want to always download all files as attachment, simply do it from code behind
