In this article I will provide solution to the problem of missing LINQ to SQL classes in Visual Studio 2019.
Cause
By default, the LINQ to SQL classes is not available in Visual Studio 2019, thus if needed, the package needs to be downloaded and installed.
Solution
You will need to follow the following steps in order to install the LINQ to SQL classes in Visual Studio 2019.
Steps
1. Click on Tools menu in Visual Studio 2019, then select Get Tools and Features option.

2. Above action will open the Visual Studio Installer Dialog as shown below. Now click the Modify Button.

3. From the Individual Components Tab, search for LINQ and you should find the LINQ to SQL tools package.
Check the item and click Modify Button.

4. The package will be installed and now, you should be able to find LINQ to SQL classes in the Add New Item dialog.
