Can we use Report Viewer control in windows application in Visual Studio 2010

Can we use Report viewer in windows application in Visual Studio 2010 ? I went through several sites, on one of them it is written as "You cannot use .rdlc files in remote processing mode." i didn't understand that ! The definition which i got for Remote processing mode is "Remote processing mode refers to report processing that is performed by a SQL Server 2008 or above Reporting Services report server.". Can any one suggest an ideal options to me. Any suggestion will be greatful to me. Thanks in advance.
