Existing table is this pattern : SerialNo Firstname Address I forgot to add the Surname column,if I pass the alter query the Surname column gets added after Address, how do I add it exact after Firstname?

First of all it does not have any effect on your database. Secondly if you want you can simply drag columns and set positions
