Prevent ReadOnly TextBox value getting cleared On Page Postback

Thanks for your reply but thats not i'm searching for

protected void btnSubmit_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)

    string dt = Request.Form[txtDate.UniqueID];
}

i already used that above code to get the textbox value but now i am asking when the screen postbacks after selecting the textbox value, the textbox gets cleared in the screen and cannot able to select it again..

i do not want to clear the read only textbox value in screen when the screen postbacks

You will have to reset in Page_Load
