Problem with connecting database for crystal report...

Hi, all i am new in this forum and sure i will recieve my reply soon...

I have Visual studio 2010 and for crystal report, i have intalled reports and crystal viewer is also shown. i want to connect Sql, but thats not working. Sql is the one that is in the Visual studio not external. that asks for servername, and database, but there nothing comes automatically in the dropdown menus... so what should i do...with that..there is no password set with the sql which is in vs 2010. it does not show me the database in my computer, and if i write the name, it gives the error...
