in my asp.net+vb web there are two checkboxes in a page i want only one checkbox be chexched at a time

 If chk.Checked = True Then
            chk1.Checked = False
            If chk1.Checked = True Then
                chk.Checked = False
            End If
        End If

i tried the abpve code but is ot working
